David Khalilzad

David Khalilzad began his financial services career at Citigroup in 1988, rising to Vice President, Real Property Services in charge of Commercial Real Estate. In 1993, he started his investment banking career as a Principal at Commonwealth Associates, which was a merchant bank leading investment or financing transactions to finance operations, acquisitions, and/or restructuring of more than 100 technology, healthcare, and service-related lower middle market businesses and what later became known as Comvest Partners, a private equity firm with more than $12.3 billion in assets under management. In 1998, Mr. Khalilzad founded Geneva Capital, where he served as Chairman and CEO for thirteen years. While at Geneva Capital in 2006, Mr. Khalilzad founded US Ethanol Holdings which owned six ethanol plants in Illinois, Indiana, and California with a capacity of over 600 million gallons per year. Mr. Khalilzad is an honors graduate of the Department of Economics and Political Science, New York University, where he received the prestigious Founder’s Day Award in 1987.
